Norwegian-born designer Elise Øverland is known for body-con leather designs that look great on the models that attended her show this Sunday. But some of the best new designs on the runway were tiered silk dresses and blouses and long, flowy pants – a great new silhouette for spring that would look good even on non-models.
Violinist Hanh Bin, who performed on the runway, warmed up before the show in PVC leggings and platform heels.
Model Alina Baikova walks the runway in her own clothes: leather leggings, high top sneakers, gray tee and biker jacket. Leather leggings are the pants of choice for models-off-duty this season.
Denim jacket and round glasses – back to school look for boys.
Sarah Rutson and Bryan Boy. Love her louche glamour look of undone blouse and leopard heels.
Leopard blouse.
Chunky knit sweater.
Fringed dress.
Trenches are getting deconstructed this season, like this one with a ruffled front.
Fellow photographer in urban field wear.
Stylist Kate Schelter in a black minidress, I think by Elise Øverland.

Velvet jacket, fringe bag and raccoon tail. These animal tails have been showing up as clip on bag accessories, and they always freak me out at first glance because I think there’s a small animal about to leap out of the bag.
Model in a military jacket with fringed epaulettes.
Acid-bright leggings.
A great striped poncho with red lace-up boots.
Kate Lanphear in a sleeveless trench, spiked bracelets, platform boots and rocker tee. She’s the master of the mix.
A grown-up schoolgirl look of purple knee socks with oxfords and a feminine print dress.
Model in a pale pink silk blouse. Silk blouses are a must-have for fall.
Elise Øverland Runway
Here are some of my favorite looks from the runway.
Love this tiered teal and fawn-colored silk dress. Infinitely wearable.
More great teal, this time paired with long and lean ivory silk pants. Do not be afraid: these are actually quite flattering on most when worn with heels.
LBD with built-in capelet.
Feminine but mod white mini with bell sleeves.
More tiers, this time in leather.
Violinist Hanh Bin in Overland’s design.
Taking the schoolgirl look into spring.
Daring chartreuse. I wish guests would wear more color! It’s thrilling to see amid the black.
